The heights for the bottom 10 levels (-20.5 to -16.0 inclusive) are from the ccm, and all the rest are from timegcm. Note that the difference in heights between -16 and -15.5, i.e., across boundary between the models, is less than the difference between other adjacent pairs of heights above and below the boundary (about 1 km vs 3.3 to 3.7 km). This discontinuity in heights would affect the scale height, which would in turn affect the omega to W conversion.
