Thanks for the info re forward and backward scans. Does that
mean that the higher times (2047352, 2078136, etc) are the
backward (135 deg) scans, and the lower times (1553720, 1576312,
...) are the forward scans? 

I guess I am interested in some binning or averaging technique.
There are winds given for both types of scans, but they are 
measuring a common volume. Does this mean I should average the 
winds from each pair of measurements?

Too bad about the Dec 4-11 period. Ray is also interested in
Oct 8-12, 1991. Could you please check on that period also?

BTW, should I send mail to you at sting, or sprlj, or does it
matter?
