I finally found the code that made the uars orbit / timegcm contour
plots, thanks to my work journal. I have adapted it to timesgcm,
and made some test runs. Results are on sting in the files:

/d/foster/uars/timessat/tiss16.30-150km.cgm (ht scale 30 - 150 km), and
/d/foster/uars/timessat/tiss16.30-430km.cgm (ht scale 30 - 430 km)

There are two orbits plotted, and timesgcm fields tn,un,vn,o2,ox,
and no. Let me know if you would like to try different orbits,
different fields, or different height scales. The bottom plot
gets a bit messy with the times -- I can make plots with only 
a single orbit, so the times don't overlap each other. We can
also customize contour intervals, min,max, etc.

Hope all's well at ML. I've warned the operators that you and
Cicely may be requesting hardcopy to different locations, through
the aliases xplotfl, xplotml, etc. You should have received a 
copy of the mail msg I sent.
