Hoang: I have run the model for a single time step and saved vertical profiles of NO+, N+, and N2+. The model can only be started from a primary history (not secondary histories), and primary histories were saved only every 12 hrs in the cirris run. So the profiles are from model day 28 (4/27), ut 0. Also, the vertical scale for now is in the full pressure coords of the model, i.e., -16 to +5 ln(p0/p). We can rerun it again with interpolated to a height scale if you want. There are 2 files on anon ftp on hao.hao.ucar.edu in the dir /pub/foster. They are: nions_cirris.dat and nions_cirris.ps. The .dat file is ascii data and the .ps file is postscript line plots. You may want to read the .dat file and plot log10 of these ions. (let me know if you need a fortran procedure to read the ascii data). Please let me know if these make sense, and what would be the next step. I would think we would want these at some specific height scale. (can you confirm that the 169 deg lon you gave is 169 east?) --Ben
