Gonzalo: I've written 4 sample data files for you to try out. They are on anon ftp on hao.ucar.edu in directory /pub/foster/gonz: total 312 -rw-rw-r-- 1 foster ftp 39035 Dec 3 10:00 FPO_E5577.dat -rw-rw-r-- 1 foster ftp 39035 Dec 3 10:00 FPO_OH8400.dat -rw-rw-r-- 1 foster ftp 39035 Dec 3 10:00 MJO_E5577.dat -rw-rw-r-- 1 foster ftp 39035 Dec 3 10:00 MJO_OH8400.dat These are for days 80-89 (March 21-30), and should match the 1st 10 days of the sample figures Ray sent you earlier for Fritz Peak and St. Johns. (There is a single additional time ut 0 of day 90, which you can ignore or remove if you want). The file names indicate location and emission type. Note E5577 brightness is in Rayleighs whereas OH8400 is in kilo-Rayleighs. I could change this if you want. The t,u,v are doppler fields in deg K and m/s respectively. The data is hourly, and times hhmm and hhcc are on the hour rather than half-past, since the model output is at ut 0. It seems wasteful to me that data is repeated (2 lines per time) except for winds -- would be better to have both winds on each line and cut your file size almost in half, but I know you are locked in to the format for historical reasons. I will be at AGU from 12/5 through 12/12, and can periodically check my email during that time, but can't do any actual work. If you can try reading these today or tomorrow am, I can make corrections before leaving tomorrow night. We can make production runs for the full year run starting when I get back to work on 12/15. --Ben
