Rod and Steve: I have put another ps file on hao.hao.ucar.edu in the directory /pub/foster. The new file is curtis_2.ps (I saved the earlier file as curtis_1.ps). curtis_2.ps contains the same fields as before at same altitude and ut. This time however, I have removed the contour line labels, and added vector arrows of un+vn to the tn contours (frame 1), ui+vi to electric potential (frame 4), and ui+vi to rho (frame 5). Rod specifically requested frame 5. After showing the 1st file to Barb Emery, she suggested rotating the projection 180 deg (i.e., slt 18 longitude), because cedar has more data in the western hemisphere. I also rotated the projection to show more of the polar region, i.e., center is now 70 deg. It is easy for me to remake these, w/ or w/out contour labels, w/ or w/out vectors, different projections, etc, so please let me know if you would, e.g., like tn w/out unvn but at current projection, or rho_ui+vi at old projection, etc. Also, I have found that different ps previewers and printers show different colors for the arrows, continental outlines, and lat/lon grid. I prefer them all in black -- is that what you're seeing? --Ben
