John and Sam: I have made some NO and CO2 cooling profiles from the new time-gcm cirris run. There are two files on hao.hao.ucar.edu in /pub/foster. They are cirris.cool.dat (ascii data), and cirris.cool.ps (corresponding postscript file). There are 12 frames, NO and CO2 at the following times and locations: History Volume mday:ut lat, lon RGR95/TSCIR23 30:16 -52.5, 130. RGR95/TSCIR23 30:17 -52.5, 130. RGR95/TSCIR23 30:17 -47.5, 35. RGR95/TSCIR25 31:02 -42.5, -35. RGR95/TSCIR25 31:03 67.5, 95. RGR95/TSCIR25 31:03 47.5, 55. I think I sent you the information re history volumes and times for the entire run last week. As I mentioned then, you can use tgcmproc to get data and plots of the standard history fields from this run. Later I can give you the "concurrent model processor" that executes the model for a single time step, which I used to get these cooling rates. --Ben ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ben Foster High Altitude Observatory (HAO) foster@ncar.ucar.edu phone: 303-497-1595 fax: 303-497-1589 Nat.
